Frequently asked questions
What does it cost to open my academy?
Opening it is free. The Free plan lets you upload 5 videos and sell videos and courses without paying anything monthly. If you need more videos, space or subscriptions, you move to Pro for €14 a month.
What do I need to get started?
Your phone. You film, upload from the phone —if the connection drops, the upload picks up where it was—, set a price and publish. No camera and no editing software needed.
Can I sell videos, courses and subscriptions?
Yes, all three at once and at different prices. A student can buy a single video, a whole course or subscribe by the month. Subscriptions start with the Pro plan.
Can I keep teaching my in-person classes?
Of course. The online academy does not replace them: it goes with them. Usually your own studio students are the first to subscribe.
Which countries can I sell in?
All of them. We charge in euros, Mexican pesos, Argentine pesos and dollars, each through its own country gateway, so your student pays in their currency with the methods they already use.
How and when do I get paid?
The money goes into your own payout account, not ours. You connect Stripe or Mercado Pago once and every sale reaches you directly, with no waiting for us to transfer it.
Is there a commission per sale?
Yes: Dancetomic keeps 9% of each sale, and by default the buyer pays it. You receive the price you set. On top of that, your payment gateway charges its own fee, as in any online sale.
Can I have more than one instructor in my academy?
Yes, from the Business plan: several instructors in the same academy, each with their own content.
