Bachata Canada Festival

Before bachata performances filled our social media feeds, Ataca helped create one of the videos that changed everything. In 2008, Ataca and La Alemana’s iconic choreography to “Te Extraño” became one of the earliest bachata dance videos to go truly viral, reaching nearly 100 million views and introducing dancers around the world to a new vision of bachata. With his unmistakable musicality, intricate footwork, smooth partnerwork, and sensual interpretation, Ataca became a pioneering force in the evolution and global popularization of modern bachata. Through Island Touch, his influence grew far beyond a single performance. His choreography, teaching, and international dance teams helped shape an entire generation and contributed to the global bachata community we know today. This November, Toronto welcomes one of bachata’s most influential artists. The one and only Ataca is coming to the Bachata Canada Festival. 🇨🇦🔥
