He studied Afro-Venezuelan percussion and Afro-Cuban styles in Venezuela, as well as Latin percussion in New York. Joaquin has produced and recorded all of Tromboranga’s albums, winning several awards along the way. In addition, he teaches percussion and musicality workshops for salsa dancers worldwide.
